I'm detecting a *slight* autumny feeling in the air down here in SoCal in the mornings, but I know what you mean, I don't anticipate our real autumn until about December. LOL
......hopefully it will be real soon!! I am getting the feeling that you are well and truly "over" summer...and I am as well except we are just going into Spring!! I am so not a summer person....!
it wasn't a FALL leaf, it was just a DEAD leaf. it got killed by all this heat we're having!!! yesterday was much nicer though. hubby has my car and i had to drive "the beast". the a/c is laughable in that thing so it was nice that i didn't arrive at the fabric shop with my face all red like a tomato! here's to cooler weather!!!
I know what you mean . . . but here in the southwest. . . we have to take (& we celebrate!) every cooler day we can get! Don't worry Pam. . . it will be sweater weather (ahhh doesn't that sound good!) before you know it. (Just don't be watching the national weather reports. . . it already is in several parts! . . .sigh!) xo, Bren
Fall is here already, the squirrels and chipmunks are running around with their cheeks stuffed full of nuts, preparing for the long winter. It's a little too early for me. I like my barefeet and shorts, I don't look forward to the furnace roaring away 24/7.
You must live in So Cal, because I woke up all excited this morning that I got to wear a long sleeved shirt....and then I looked at the 5 day outlook and its supposed to be 80 by Sat.
We are having incredible weather up here. Basically perfect temps. in the 70's. No heat just nice lovely weather. In fact I was thinking it was very similar to the Bay Area climate. I'm not sure how long it will last. I'm crossing my fingers that it will be here for awhile.

I saw a leaf on the ground yesterday too. I think we're being taunted.

It's been amazingly cool. 70's all week, just beautiful if it would stay like this. I know we're going to get slammed though. How could we not?

The air conditioner we ordered from Costco arrived today. Now I'm hoping it warms up so we can figure out if it's going to work.
I don't believe it either. But I sure enjoyed it today--it was fun to pretend that summer is over.
