Monday Morning

How was your weekend my lovely peeps? I had a great time, didn't do anything in my sewing room at all, but managed to get some knitting in while watching TV at night. Don't know what the week holds for me, but I'm starting it out with of course, a cup of coffee!

Cold here this morning, kid-stuff cold, just a light frost on the roofs, but still California cold! (for those who have asked, that mug is from Home Goods)
January always brings Daphne blooms. They smell like paradise and make coming and going out the front door a treat. I should go out today and buy another one for the back door!

So what's up for you this week?

Happy Monday Pam ! We're in the DEEP FREEZE here in Pa today (-12 overnight !)... and the rest of the week doesn't look much better ... a little warm up midweek but that brings another possible snowstorm. ANYHOW, since it's too dang cold to go outside I had the teenager's help and finally got Christmas put away (except for that brown, dried out tree tipping sideways in the living room waiting to be dragged out to the woods) ... so I'm actually ahead of schedule (my target date to get Xmas put away is usually Valentine's Day!)

Hoping for another snow day off from work here in NH this week. A storm is coming on Wednesday possibly. If it passes us by I'll just be staying warm here as best I can. Only 7 below this morning at my house.

Where do you have your daphne planted? I'm having a heck of a time getting mine to bloom. Did you have any problems with the frost?

It is cold, cold, cold here, but we managed to get out for a pre-teen skating party, visits to Papa, some Skyping to Papa, and the girls and I spent a few hours with a few roles of duct tape for crafting. Will post my project on Wednesday. All in all a good weekend. ~Kelly

I have to find a Home Goods...love the mug! I always think that Daphne smells like Fruit Loops...

My weekend starts tomorrow! I work Fri/Sat/Sun/Mon...it's a nice schedule most of the time, but I miss a lot of craft fairs and farmers markets because of it.

Oh my goodness, how I would love to take in a giant breath right now. I love daphne. It's too hot in Texas to grow it.

That mug is freakin adorable. I'm going to Homegoods. How I hate walking in that front door though. It always means leaving with a full cart.
