Keep it Real
Probably you caught that link on Whip Up to this darling tutorial at Chick Pea Studio last week, or maybe the week before. It could not be cuter, the project, or the presentation. So I thought I'd try it out. I grabbed up a big enough scrap of fabric and a hunk of leftover rick rack and got busy.
This is what keeps me from getting that too-big-for-my-britches feeling. Little mishaps like this.
Genius huh? So hey, maybe you'll give it a whirl. They're really the cutest aren't they? Except too cute to put my drippy coffee cup on. Well maybe not this one.

Have a good week peeps! The posting will start to get sketchy pretty soon... we're really closing in on market now!

Thank you for keeping it real, but your mishap looks darn good to me.
Very cute! Maybe we'll run into each other at market.
Looks plenty cute to me!!
Humbling, isn't it? I hate those little reminders of my imperfection. I KNOW I'm not perfect, do I need to be reminded regularly?!?!?!
I've had those coasters on my to-do list forever -- I love them!!!
Oh it's DARLING! And it's not a little mishap... It's just what we all crop out of our photos.
Thanks for sharing... you always find the best stuff! You're like the BWE of cute stuff.
PS... I'm home now and about to suck up some of that yogurt. Mmmmmm.
Humbling? I'll tell you what's HUMBLING! I had a similar accident when I was putting trim on a pillow. I was ready to get the hot glue gun out, when my HUSBAND explained to me the perfect way to hide the ends. Grrrr... I mean, "thank you, sweetheart!"
Those are flippin' cute coasters! I love your fabric choice. And you're supposed to have those 'mishaps', otherwise you'd just be showing off...x
those coasters are adorable ... and that's your "only God is perfect" one! Congrats on sewing for Mary Lou - I love her fabric and patterns - what fun! SuzK
So cool - I'll have to try it! Ric Rac is the devil.
Oh you know - that ric rac can get away from you. The tutorial is great - thank you for the link. What a great way to put the ric rac on! I generally just pin it in and pray and swear a lot while I am sewing (which probably cancels both out).
so funny, i just saw that tonight. hee hee. and even tho you had a little ric a rac mishap, it's still cute, cute, cute. oh how miss you when quilt market nears. And well there might be a tad bit of jealousy in there too. LOL. ooxx`jod
It's still adorable, I never know what to do with the rick rack ends either...
Do you know that I made coasters just like this for my shop? Yes. Why is it that my ideas never go anywhere until they are someone else's ideas?
Very very cute fabric you used!
