Monday Monday

Good Monday morning peoples, how are you today? Did you have a good weekend? We were busy bees but we're in complete denial about Christmas, we worked on all kinds of stuff this weekend, but still no tree! Bret and Frankie usually put up the tree but I don't think we'll see her before Christmas. I guess he's going to have to buck up and do it with me!
In the meantime, I'm going to block all the stuff I need to do right out of my mind and show off my evolving pile of fabrics.
It's all laid out on Frankie's bed and I love walking buy and looking at it. (and the pillow, did I mention how much I love the pillow?)

Here's my little pile for the first block, the pears. This quilt is making me so happy I wish I didn't have to go to work so I could sew on it.

Who knows what kind of temptations are waiting for me there!

I think laying out the colors is the most fun part of the quilting process. There are so many possibilities and combinations. I always hate to make the final choice because then it means I have to leave out some fabrics that I really like! Your fabrics look great. Can't wait to see it finished.

I seriously cannot wait to see this done! I love all the colors together, great fabric! I don't know though... it is going to be tough to top that pillow!

Ahhh...nice of blogger to decide to cooperate. I'm also looking forward to seeing what you'll be coming up with next! And if you're too busy sewing, I'd be glad to help you set up your tree.
Just sayin'.

Your pile of fabric is so happy. I would love to have a pile of fabric like that to walk past. What I find even more remarkable though, is that your daughter is gone to college and her room is clean enough that you can have a happy pile of fabric on her bed.

My 19 year old son came home from college for Thanksgiving and he left his room looking like a disaster area when he went back to school. I can barely even get into his room for all the stuff he left scattered about. An no, the bed is not made.Sigh. I think I really need to get myself a happy pile of fabric like yours to walk past and smile about.

Hi Pam!
Love the fabric! Don't feel bad - our tree just went up last night. Have to let it thaw for awhile before it gets decorated. No telling how long THAT will take ;-).

Your fabric stash is making me smile- and I haven't even walked by the bedroom door! Some of the simplest things can make us the happiest!

One of my favorite things to do is lay my fabrics out on a bed and look at them from all different angles. Since I gave the bed in my sewing room to my son to use at college, I am stuck with the floor as a display surface!
