Full Circle

In 2007 when Elizabeth and I drove (THRU SNOW!!) to get to quilt market in Salt Lake City, I had no idea that I would return there in 2011 with the PamKittyMorning line of fabric Lakehouse! That was the year we went to the Holly's bloggers dinner with a lot super cool people. It was such a great discussion and a chance to meet a lot of people who I am sure I would never met otherwise.

Later that year Holly wrote an article in the McCall's Quilting magazine and she featured my blog! You can tell from my expression there that I was crazy excited about it. (Or possibly just crazy.)

Over the last 4 years we've done a lot of projects with Holly. Dessert Parties, 12 Bears for Christmas, we've eaten a lot of meals with her and I've gone off my nut over her fabric. Who knew that when I wrote that first blog post about meeting Holly ..

.. that one day we'd be collaborating on the PamKittyMorning line of fabric. Holly is the real genius behind this line! You guys know how much I've loved Holly's fabric in the past, particularly Dolly Dresses, those cheerful colors make me so happy and those little prints inspired by actual vintage doll dresses are so precious!

PamKittyMorning is all that and more! Holly has magically taken what I love and turned it into a collection of fabric so wonderful I could just weep with the cuteness of it. That mystery trip in January? I met up with Holly before she moved to California to get the process started. Since then I have been going back and forth to her new studio in Sausalito to work with her. Mostly me just being in awe of how she took my ideas and turned them into wonderful designs. It's been a dream working with her.

And you know what else? Who knew that on June 27, 2007 when I said "If I were to make my own fabric, a yellow dot is the first thing I'd make", some day that dream would come true.

Meet LH 110019 yellow dot on white!!!!

I hope you're going to love it and the rest of the PamKittyMorning collection as much as I do.

It is funny how we make connections. I started looking at blogs around 2006. I started looking at your blog after reading that article by Holly. Isn't that amazing. I love your fabric. I think this is just a great niche for you and your name carries attention. This fabric will be eaten up by quilters and others.
