Rude

I know, it's cruel to post a sunny day picture right? I feel a little mean doing it but last week on Sunday I was in a snow storm and this Sunday I had all the windows thrown open to let some fresh air into my stale wintery house.
One downside to all the nice weather is the weeds. Holy cow the back yard is crammed with them and I need to get on them while the ground is nice and damp and they come right out. And it's suddenly February and I need to prune back my roses.
So did you Super Bowl it up? We're not a sports watching kind of family so we caught up on some stuff we needed to get done. Which involved a trip to Fry's. We're in a period where everything is broken, do you have those? Way not cool.

Ok, tell me what's up? I need to know. xo

Your coffee cup looks like Spring! We did our heavy winter gardening a few weeks ago, roses included so now we have a lot of new growth. But boy we had a lot of weeds too!

I'm not a sports fan either, so last night I quilted on a quilt top that I need to mail to a family that lives in the Ukraine. I made them a quilt when their first baby was born over 11 years ago. The poor little quilt has been through 5 children and is thread bare. So don't you think they deserve a new one??

Well yes...quite rude of you girl...lol
It is snowing here today...but I have no weeds to pull...but then again my roses are still sleeping...and there is no sun:)
It isn't very cheery outside my studio window for a girl like me who has a gardeners heart!
A liitle later I am meeting friends for lunch at Olive Garden...that's what I'm up to!

Well, it looks gorgeous there PKM. And thanks for throwing that bit about the weeds in at the end -- it made all the jealously disappear, cause I'd definitely rather be sitting here with a foot of snow on the ground than be pulling weeds! Your sunshine with our snow might be the perfect combo!

Ha, ha! I'm not offended at all, but then again, our "blizzard" of the century happened Friday morning---1" of snow, melted by noon! Love South Texas! You know you're in the South when it's February & your child asks, "Mom should I wear long pants tomorrow or shorts & flip-flops?"

Pam, I like seeing your coffee cup in the sun. Gives me hope! It is so gray and dreary here it's not even funny. Weeds are a bummer, I admit. But I'm digging the thought of open windows!! :-)

No! It is not rude! Keep posting pictures of sunny days for us Northwesterners, for whom, sunny days are something we only dream of this time of year. Ahhhhh, I dream of a sunny day warm enough to actually sit outside. Keep the sunny day pictures comin girl!

I thought the part where you mentioned the weeds to make other people feel better was a nice touch. :-)

Well, if you must know. This morning the weather was not so bad so I drove over to my friendly neighborhood Bernina store and bought me up a Accucut Go! Baby! So excited! And then the weather took a turn for the worse and we lost power for about an hour and a half. Which meant I did not get to try it out yet. But, I guess I have something to look foreward to for tomorrow!

It's beautiful in Chico! And of course we did super bowl it up because Aaron Rodgers is from Chico! We call this Mr. Rodgers Neighborhood!
