Fun sewing
I like sewing. A lot. And I really like making stuff for other people. I made this purse for my sister's birthday. I know you've seen a lot of this kind of bag around, the Japanese craft magazines are crammed with them, and Indygo Junction has a pattern as well. I've made several, trying out different interfacings and making them bigger or small, tucks, no tucks. All fun. To me though, the bag just seems boring without some embellishment. That's when I hit on my fun button pin. I designed a bag for spring market that also needed a little something to dress it up. And you all know my love affair with my ruffler foot.
I love the pin so much I could just.. just what? Hmm, maybe make some more!

Adoring from afar! Fresh inspiration for that ruffler foot.
You make great bags. Really great bags. I love this one. And that pin is darling. Your sister is very lucky. I'm sure she will enjoy it so much. And from one sewer to another - I like sewing. A lot. Too.

I am making a similar bag (in fact that is my 'job' for today) and I LOVE the pin! I am going to have to do something very similar for this bag. I think that will totally ROCK THE BAG! :D Thanks for the idea.
That bag is so cute it makes me want to borrow my daughter's sewing machine and attempt it myself...umm..ok, instead I'm going to send her the link and request one for my birthday! ;-)

SOOOO very cute, Pam. I have some purses that I need to take the vintage rhinestone brooches off of and add something like these buttons instead. Thanks for sharin'!
It looks like yummy candy! So, so fresh and pretty.
Oh PK that purse is so cute. The pin totally makes it. And what fun if the pin is removable, you could put it on a lapel too.
I haven't made a handbag in months and I need to get that sewing machine humming again. I feel a sewing jag coming on.
I like Amy Butler's handbags, but they are a handful to construct.
