Dork.

Finished up my pillow yesterday..and I think if you go back and refer to the original quilt I saw here, you'll see I made a critical error. Yeah go take a look and then come back and have a good chuckle on me! Just now I loaded the photo in and thought to myself , you know I bet this would be darling if the snowballs were yellow and white and not alternating. DUH. THAT'S HOW IT WAS SUPPOSED TO BE. No wonder I was disappointed with how it turned out.

Well the joke's on me I guess. I'll have to make another one sometime. Correctly. All I can say is, thank goodness it wasn't a whole huge quilt.

At least it looks cute with the other pillows.

One of the great things about my trip to Utah this spring for Quilt Market was meeting all kinds of great people. One of those people is Jamie, who sent me this wonderful package. She introduced me to this Korean Coffee and it's going to be perfect for road trips where sometimes a good cup of coffee is illusive. Thanks Jamie!!!

So far I've had a great week. Monday I had lunch with my long time friends Carol and Robyn. I can't remember when I have had such a nice day! Plus I'm listening to the latest Pendergast novel in my car which already is exciting and mysterious! Some times it just seems like it couldn't be any better you know???

I did check it out and do like how your pillow turned out. I did do it to a whole quilt (queen no less). At one point thought the same thing, but never went back to check until the whole top was done. I left it. Love how it turned out. Next time!!!

Oh, I think it's cute! I am debating on whether to make a bow-tie quilt or a tumbler quilt from a stack of fabric right now. These bow-ties sure are cute!

You just didn't have enough coffee while putting those pieces together. :) Despite the glitch, it looks great, especially with the other pillows.

Enjoy Pendergast! I wasn't able to savor the book because I read straight through, eager for more story details. And now, I'm waiting impatiently for the next one!

No no! The pillow is perfect just as is!

It took me a while to work out this block, including the pressing of seam allowances to that the whole things comes together easily; including taking photos as a guide for the "right" way.

You pillow looks real cute with the other pillows indeed!

I think I like your layout as much as Red Pepper's! They say mistakes are the Mother of Invention. Be proud, plus the pillow looks great with the others.

Oh PKM,
Alas, you do not reign in Dorkland alone. We all have done what you've illustrated. BTW, the pillows look wonderful!

PKM, I like your pillow just the way it is! I'd make one the same way, it shows off the bowties. I just finished a small bowtie quilt using the 5 equal square method. I enjoy your site so much--always check it in the morning for some smiles and inspiration--and to check out your choice of cup! Jan

Well, you were saved!! I couldn't find the quilt on the other site and got sidetracked several times by other cute quilts and fabric. If the picture a couple down is the back with the 2 colors and little red buttons---that's so cute! I love your bog!

I agree with some of the others - I like your "wrong" version much better than the Red Pepper one. Both have their place to shine in quiltworld, but I much prefer the solid snowballs in your pillow. And I LOVE your COLORS too! :-)

I love your blog and your creations.
I've seen "dork" and "dorky" on several blogs yesterday--I wonder if people just don't realize that dork is a real word--not just slang--and if they'd still use it if they knew what it meant.

I like your version better. I was sooooo impressed that you had the vision to make the snowballs solid - that is much prettier!!! But if you decide to make another pillow the other way you can send me this one! Deborah
