Aftermath

So how was the weekend? Lots of shopping? Bret and I didn't go out Christmas shopping, but we did have to make a run to the San Jose area for some computer parts and I was quite lucky that the shop was very close to Kinokuniya. And what luck, a little mini Daiso opened up in the same shopping center! Very tiny. Bret dropped me off and ran his errands then picked me back up. I was surprised that it didn't seem crowded at all anywhere.
We had a nice dinner out then meandered home through Pleasanton. These pictures are taken 2 blocks from Main Street.

These turkeys strolling past a BBQ seem like daredevils.

Black Friday Alternative

This morning I found this little gnote with my coffee!

So we did.

Check out Monica's blog for these cute notes, and these cute light bulbs!

To make Frankie's cute pompom garland just string some puffy pompoms onto some perle cotton and string your lights on in a manner that pleases you. To add fabric appliques to a napkin, just trace the outline of Monica's light bulbs onto fusible web and fuse onto some Holiday Happy Fabric for the bulbs and maybe if you're lucky like me you'll have some super-coordinating dots from Elizabeth's collection Red Rose Farm to use as little bulb tops.. and fuse to your napkins. All I need on these is some blanket stitching to finish them off. Wouldn't these be cute around the cuff of a pillow case or strung on rick rack across dishtowel? I could go gnoma-nuts!

Drink up!

Getting ready for a busy week? Me too! Even though we don't have a ton of people over, stuff still needs doing.
I'm pacing myself here with a delicious cup of Community Coffee.. my friend Kathy gave me a package and this cute mug at quilt market! It's a delicious brew from her home state of Louisiana! Thanks Kathy, I wish I was drinking it with you this morning!
Anyway people what are your plans this week?

The last of the peoples

Good morning.. so how goes it my fine feathered friends? I've been having a good week, how about you?

I know Annie here must be having some great weeks, her new book with C&T is out! I've known Annie for some time now, and am so happy for her!

I think a lot of you know Glenna already! It's always great to see her and get a good chat in!

I did manage to hobble over and see Mary Andra. Could anyone bet any sweeter? I love her wonderful red and white schoolhouse quilt. I love things that chain don't you? And red and white.. holy cow!

Here's Cindy in her booth. She's always cute and her projects are wonderful. Check out her new book "Everyday Living- Make it and Sell It".

And here are Elizabeth and I with Heidi and my sweet friend Roseann. Holy cow there's no two sweeter people on earth.

So you can see, I couldn't be luckier in the friend department. And honestly, these photos were just the tip of the friend filled bucket. I am so sorry that I missed seeing so many people or even if I saw them getting back to get their pictures.

So people's that's probably it. Tomorrow is Frankie's birthday and Bret has the day off and we're looking forward to having some fun.

Can't believe my girl will be 23! So here's my happy weekend wishes for you peoples. You're all the greatest. xo

More to share

Yes I have even more to share today. Pretty booths, fabric lines, they all come and go but the lovely people really make the experience great. Here I am with my friend Jen, you probably know her better as Tula Pink. We met Jen way back when. I'm so excited for her and Parisville and all the wonderful things she has going on in Pinkerville.
Ahh the Mod Squad. I know that Patty and JJ Young need no introduction! But that mysterious blonde woman.. well she might. That's the very famous, or is that infamous JCaroline!!

Here's my sweet friend Kelly! I was so happy to meet up with her in person. Check out her blog, she's got some very charming projects there.. not to mention a great market recap.

EdgyJenny! We met at spring market in Minneapolis. She had some very cute quilts at market in the Maywood and Riley Blake booths! Super to see her.

Mary's book debuted at quilt market. Why wouldn't she be happy! I'm so happy and excited for her.

Debra Lynn Taylor !!! I follow her on twitter and of course we all know her from the Fat Quarter Shop. Here she is on her birthday at quilt market!

Yes that's Gina behind those glasses. Blogger, shop owner, pattern designer and all around quilt business guru!!!
So that's it for today. I have a few more pictures but then I move into uncharted territory.. I guess I better get cracking and make something so I have something to blog about right?

Good Morning!

Ok, I'm off to a late start here today. I swore I was going to work on this all over the weekend and then I didn't . Ok, so here's the first round of my market photos. For me it's about the people and by now you've seen all the booths you want to see right? But the people... gosh never a better group.
Here's I am with Pat Sloan. Holy cow does that woman ever sit still? Probably not as she's doing it all and having it all.

And ohmygosh this little pixie from Australia. I was so lucky to get a chance to chat it up with Natalie. So cute and so clever. I hope you visit her blog and get to know her if you don't already. Darling.

More of my friends from Australia. Sisters Rosalie and Melissa are so sweet and it was so fun to see them again. Rosalie was introducing her latest line with Lecien and Melissa was introducing her line with Windham.

I have no picture of my wonderful friend Kathy. How did that happen? But I do have a nice shot of her booth featuring her new line with Red Rooster.

Everyone here knows Brenda right? (she's participating in the Mistletoe Make and Bake so get over there for the list of people and the recipes.) She was showing her line Georgia Lou with Lecien.

Here's Elizabeth with Sandy!

OHMYGOSH my favorite sisters here with Sara Tuttle. Be sure and hope over to read their blog post about Charlevoix.

And here are the fabulous House women, Cherri and Lizzy. I think they were the first friendly faces we saw coming into the convention center to unpack.
Ok, that's it for today. I have plenty more beautiful faces to share. Hope you all had a wonderful weekend. xop

Now all you wonderful people, I am going to get to work on some photo editing and next week I promise I will have some photos to share. I just can't keep sitting around like this! xo

"I Tumble For You"

Well Elizabeth and I are finally back home from our big trip to fall quilt market!!! It was quite an exciting adventure. But before I go into the story, here's the best shot I got of the booth. Pretty much after this point, the finishing up of the booth, the trip took a bit of a downturn for me, starting happily with a walk over to the delightful Fabric 2.0 party and ending with me taking a bit of a spill out back. And believe me, didn't even have a cocktail to blame it on.
From that point forward, my ability to run around seeing people was severely limited and that was such a disappointment. Thankfully, I hear there are a slew of wonderful pictures online, and I can't wait to just sit down and look at all the things I missed. And the people, ohmygosh I missed seeing so many people.
So in the mean time, I'll put my feet up, get out my laptop and look around. I missed you guys.. what are you up to??? xop
