Aftermath

So how was the weekend? Lots of shopping? Bret and I didn't go out Christmas shopping, but we did have to make a run to the San Jose area for some computer parts and I was quite lucky that the shop was very close to Kinokuniya. And what luck, a little mini Daiso opened up in the same shopping center! Very tiny. Bret dropped me off and ran his errands then picked me back up. I was surprised that it didn't seem crowded at all anywhere.
We had a nice dinner out then meandered home through Pleasanton. These pictures are taken 2 blocks from Main Street.

These turkeys strolling past a BBQ seem like daredevils.

Reckless! Wild turkeys... they aren't too wise about urban hazards I guess!

I was raised in San Jose, and visit my family as often as possible. I'll have to check out those stores on my next visit. Thank you for the leads.

I was too tired after the Thanksgiving extravaganza to go shopping so I stayed home and put up decorations and sewed. I thought I was having 21 for Thanksgiving but ended up with 25! I'm too old for this.

Gyah, you have a Kinokuniya near you? I miss that store. While in Japan visiting my in-laws I used to go there almost everyday.

Nice to see some Turkeys running wild in the Bay area. Wild Bay Turkeys sounds cute. (^_^)

I love that meandering. Your trip sounds like fun. We've had turkeys before. Everyone says they are stupid. I thought they were really friendly. They even liked you to pet them. Downside was they got big fast and their "waste" was like a big dog. ick, sorry for that mental picture

That's hilarious! I've seen packs (groups? flocks? what's the right word here?) walking through my front yard. I think they're just doing it to tease my dogs who desperately want to "meet" them!

Turkeys seem to be more and more prevalent- when we were in Hawaii last March, they were everywhere walking through neighborhoods! My goodness- how funny!
