Blue skies

Gosh people, how was the weekend? It was great here, lots of puffy clouds and blue skies. Seriously, this picture is doesn't begin to show off how wonderful the weather was here. Nice weather brings out all kinds of wildlife. Creepy or not.
This weekend I read two books!! TWO BOOKS PEOPLE. And like the weather they were wonderful. I love a good village cozy and this Agatha Raisin really delivered. I have been reading Agatha for probably 15 or so years, and each one is better and better. This one was super.
The other book I read last night, I couldn't put it down either. I love keeping up with a good series, you come to love the characters and I'd forgotten how much I love the Judge.
Anyway, it was a great weekend! How about you guys?

I just discovered M.C. Beaton - I've been "reading" (actually listening to audiobooks in the car) the Hamish MacBeth series. I love all the characters in it. The Agatha Raisin series is on my reading list.

Oh I love Agatha! Much more real then some of the characters floating around the mystery genre these days. Yep, I'd love to lose 5 stone and those wrinkles around the eyes too!

I can feel spring coming! Have you noticed the flowering plum trees are starting to bud out with blossoms?

Hopefully you weren't anywhere near that vulture!! He looks pretty ominous. I always look forward to your book recommendations. They are right on the money. I have loved the ones that you have recommended in the past. Great reads. I will be checking these out!

Miss Kitty Morning,
I listen to books on tape (or Cd) when I quilt and Agatha Raisen and Judge Deborah Knott are two of my favs as well. The only problem is when you finish a project and the book is not done! Can't wait to see you and Elizabeth

So that's what the sky looks like! Thanks - I love seeing it, even if it's just a photo.

Must check out Agatha Raisin (bret). How can you go wrong with a name like Agatha! I'm reading Dean Koonz's latest, Breathless. I love him. Sigh.

I'm reading "The Politician" about bad, bad John Edwards. We watched "The Hurt Locker" from Netflix and it is riveting, to say the least. Acting is brilliant, mostly a bunch of people I don't recognize and never heard of.

Mizz Zombie, my dear friend Donna lives right across the canyon from Dean Koontz. We watched as his 16-car garage was built a few years back. Also, he has dinner nearly every night at the same place, also one of our favorites (when I'm in Orange County) so we see him there sometimes. And he looks perfectly normal! I don't know how that nice-looking man dreams that stuff up!

Hi
Just wanted you to know that your blog always makes me smile. Almost made me want to garden, but I got myself under control - back to the studio to get some work off my "to do" list.
Be seeing you at market - gosh that is a long way off, isn't it!

Another thing we have in common! Agatha Raisin is sooo real..putty-ing her face and falling in love with her good legs. Have read them all. It is too long between books, tho' I enjoy your blog.

OOOPs...misplaced comma.."I enjoy your blog" is a statement of it's own. Well back to sewing!
