Weekend

How was the weekend peeps? It was dry here for the most part. We ran some errands, drank some coffee (me) , did some cleaning (Bret) and saw some pretty sights. Snow on Mt. Diablo. Amazing flock of beautiful Cedar Waxwings in the neighborhood.

And saw the fattest Robins I've seen in years!
I even got some sewing done. What about you?

HOLY MOLY, that is a FAT robin. Looks like it ate another robin. Or a bunny. My weekend was as usual a "work-end." With the added bonus of LOTS of kleenex. Nice.

I just rejoiced in the fact that it had stopped raining.

And sewed.

And now I am marvelling as to the girth of that ginormous robin!

I always loved it when I woke up to see snow on Mt Diable. Such a wonderful sight! No sewing for me over the weekend. I re-organized my sewing room. NOW I can sew!

No sewing...but I did do some cross stitch.

My hubby tried to drive over Mt. Hamilton's pass and the roads were closed. He said the water was rushing in the creeks. The flowers are going to be gorgeous this spring!

All that rain must have been very, very, good for the supply of worms.

You must be relieved that it finally stopped raining there! Must be nice to see the sunshine again. Your pics are great! Cedar waxwings are such beautiful birds, aren't they? They don't arrive here CT for another few months, but how lucky you are to see them now!
BTW: It flooded here today. Ugh. So much rain, ground thaw, 60 mph winds, tree limbs down and power out. I'll be lookin' to you for the 5-day forecast (you're a lot more accurate than our local dopplar. lol!)

No sewing, still unloading my sewing room so the floor can get refinished once the humidity goes away! So of course I am just dying to sew something, think it will have to be the dinner room table!

What do you feed your birds out there?

Cool birds! Rick loves the bird life here. We keep the economy afloat feeding them.
