Happy Sewing

I had some sewing fun, got my second block done, well, almost done. I still need to embroider the legs on my bird and sew some triangle units together.
I'm thinking I'll wait on my triangle units till I am farther along, to make sure I like how my little units look with my blocks. I have PLENTY of fabric so I can always make more.

The blocks are so cheerful. I'm really looking forward to completing this. I'm already thinking gee, should I quilt it or have it quilted? I guess I'd have to clear off my table for that. Somehow, bit by bit, my table is covered with crap again! I'll have to work on that. I'd make a resolution, but I'm too lazy.

On even happier news, just found out my friend Jane's shop, The Quilter's Inn, has been chosen to be one of the top 10 quilt shops by American Patchwork and Quilting. CONGRATULATIONS JANE!!!

Ok, tomorrow's back to work! I'll see some familiar faces there I bet!

I love all the reds, makes me want to copy you and make something red. I have just the fabric in my stash for it too...now to find the time to add a new project among the rest.

Look at all the cute little prints, I didn't know they were still making them. Seems to me that the prints had all gotten huge. I've been hanging onto my stash from the 80s. lol

You inspired me to get this pattern and I love it. Its 3 projects down on my list but every time I look at your blog I can't wait to start it. Your fabric selections are absolutely perfect (I admit I have many of the same fabrics). Thanks for your blog. I always know when I click it I'll be entertained and impressed.

I LOVE the bird!! I love the color scheme you've got going (how can one go wrong with lots of red?) It's going to be a gorgeous quilt. I think you need to do a machine quilting tutorial so I can gear up to do my quilt on my own machine too. I have no idea how one does it except by hand.
