Light reading
Good morning! So how was the weekend? Did you go out and paint the town? Things here were cozy like we like it. I spent the past couple of days reading the manual to my camera. Finally yesterday I popped the lens on the body and gave it a try.
Honestly everything left on auto it takes a pretty nice picture, although it took me about 100 pictures to find that nice picture, then another few hours to figure out the new software to download it to etc. I'm going to enjoy using it I think, but count on seeing a lot more of my usual point and shoot camera photos because that's the one that goes along with me where ever I go.
Today is Bret's last day home, so we're trying to get our space organized. Somehow after Christmas it all turns to chaos till the very last moment, then we have to get it together when he goes back to work.
Ok, tell me all about it in a nice fat juicy comment if you feel so inclined!

We have lived here for 2 years and this is the first year we were invited to a neighborhood open house. It was a great get together to meet neighbors and eat great food. We found that there are a lot of very creative people living here with varying degrees of talents and I can't wait to get to know them all better. In fact I just might be the new secretary of the neighborhood organization that sort of fell apart and needs to get back together.
I have been on call all weekend. I was really kind of looking forward to it because I know I can't go anywhere or do anything away from home (except really short short errands). I was planning on taking down the tree, putting away the rest of the decorations, cleaning out and organizing my sewing room and then moving on to the basement. I have spent so darned much time at work (nearly more Saturday and Sunday than if they were a regular 10 hour work day) that I've been lucky to get the tree down and the decs away. Good money but man I look forward to a real day off. I really really wanted to get to the sewing room. I hope today is a short day (I know of only one procedure so far). Hope to get home by 2 and get something done.
Have fun with your new camera!
I'm so impressed with your manual reading. I didn't have the patience so it was/is trial and error for me.
Enjoy this last day before we have to seriously start the year.
New cameras can be so frustrating! I was so excited to get mine until I discovered that it is totally different from the one I had. It took a week or two then I never looked back. You'll get it.
We're closed today so we have one last day at the beach before going back to work. It's supposed to be the warmest spot in the nation so I'll take a long walk on the beach before finishing my Valentine tablescape. A perfect day for sure!
Enjoy yours,
Suzanne
My family and I stormed the castle in Heidelberg Germany today...it was amazing. Yesterday we went to Trier & the city/country of Luxembourg...trying to get all our last minute touring in before we have to come back to reality next week. New Years Eve in Germany was amazing. They are really (REALLY) big into fireworks here...it was extreme! Hope your 2012 is starting off wonderfully. I will have to pick your brain sometime about cameras since mine is pushing 10 years old.
Happy New Year Pam! My family and I went to a New Year's party, but left early because we got up early on Jan 1 and met friends at Disneyland! It was a blast. Then, we came home to watch football (which means stitching time for me.) Yippee! Luv your posts... keep em comin'!
Woohoo! I new PKM camera!!! You know...that calls for a PKM fabric camera strap -- you better get on that! I can't wait to see it LOL!
