I had this kind of afternoon yesterday, well after some yard work and laundry and errand running. The weather has been perfect here. What about where you are?
I spent yesterday afternoon volunteering at the U.S. Women's Open golf championship. It is being held at the beautiful Saucon Valley Country Club in Bethlehem, PA. If you are in the area, please stop in. The venue is wonderful and the women golfers are so friendly. Kids 17 and under are admitted free, so it's a great family outing.
It's indoors for us for most the day. We are definitely having our summer heat - solidly 100 degrees or above. (The weekend it's supposed to hit 109! Yikes!) But that's okay. I get any errands I have done first thing in the morning. . . & then it's sewing/stitching all day! (Inside!!!) :o) xo, Bren
We managed to have a great weekend here and yesterday was a perfect New England summer day so I am glad I got out and enjoyed it. Today? Raining again!
Looks perfect!! We have cooled to the perfect mid 70's. Just perfect for central oregon, but darn lightening fire on Black Butte just in time for quilt week!!
Well I'm right here trying to catch up on what yo've been doing! You and Elizabeth are having too much fun - and you know that skirt is an awful lot like the one she was wearing in my dream of the two of you at the garage sale - is that called "dream transference" or something? Anyway, I love the skirt, MUST make one for myself - now off to catch up in the studio! Cheers!
Bleh. My sunshine has disappeared behind those blasted gray skies again! Gosh darn it. Blasted gray skies. Last week was sunny and hot and I LOVED it. But I shall not complain. I know there are some who have had much more rain than OREGON! this summer. So I will trudge on and sing a little tune in my heart today. "the sun will come out tomorrow...." LOL ;o)

Hi Pam, I agree the weather has been really nice. I've been getting family ready for the drive up to Oregon. We leave very early Thursday morning.
It was nice yesterday. Just perfect for walking my pugs.

I'd love to have your weather...only 8 a.m. and it's nearly 90 already! Oh well...more reason to stay inside and sew!

Oooh, that looks nicer than my afternoon. Mine was spent writing patterns and wishing it wasn't 108 degrees outside. Bleh!
Hey, don't forget to join in on the 'first quilt' craziness. Yours is definitely one I want to see...

After three weeks of sun and high temps, we have had rain, oh, I mean, RAIN. But it has been welcome.
i wish! yesterday was full of work... but in 2 weeks i'll be in LA... and have some time away from work to play with fabric and help my brother move!
Love those afternoons! Savor every moment!
