A big reveal
Some of you might remember this post last year when I showed Alex looking super excited! I had carefully edited out the reason she was so glad! 
This was the other photo from that day, a bunch of quilts folded up with their backs out. Not very nice of me huh? Being all coy about what I was working on. That's the life of a Celebrity Stunt Quilter my friend. Tight lips.
But today I can show off the unedited photos as the project is done! These are the quilts from her brand spanking new 3rd (I know THIRD!!) edition of Start Quilting. The book includes two projects new to this book and an appendix chock full of information on making the projects larger.
Here are all the quilts laid out the day I delivered them last year! What a project! What a bunch of fun quilts to make!

Wow, am I your first to comment? I love quilting, I've been doing it for about 5 years and still feel there is lots to learn. Of course there is always something new to learn! I use to watch Alex on Simply Quilts when it was televised. Would love a book from her.

Oooh! I've been waiting for this book-- I used edition 1 to learn to quilt, and now I want edition 3 for my first class as a teacher! Can't wait to see it in person.

I used to teach beginning machine piecing and used Alex's first edition of Start Quilting. This is a wonderful book...very clear directions.

Alex's book Simply Stars was the first quilt book I ever bought when I first started quilting. I want to make every single quilt in it! I love her use of colors and fun prints.

I was, and still am, angry with HGTV because took Alex's Simply Quilts off of their line-up in our area. Or maybe I should be angry with my cable provider.
I would wake up an hour before my hubby, so I could get done the things I needed to do before work and then sit down with breakfast, coffee and Alex.

Fabulous quilts. I have about half of Alex's books but didn't buy this one, it would be fun to have it, someday I'll be teaching my GDG to quilt I hope. Oh and peeples, you cn still find Alex on The Quilt Show...and at your convenience!
