Dear Peet's Coffee

I love your French Roast coffee more than I have ever loved coffee, ever. It was love at first cup in 1978. I love it so much I have Peet's stock, bought on the day you went public. Nothing could have made me happier than your store opening in Livermore. The only thing I don't love is that your store is nearly always out of French Roast whole beans when I go in.
Thanks for being great coffee and an important part of my day.
Your friend, Pam

Is Peet's a chain? Never heard of it here on the east coast.

Dear Peets,
I love you too. I have been gulping you since the late 80's (Pam's older then me, so she had a head start). I do so hope you get Pam her French Roast. And when you're done with that... can you PLEASE open a store in Astoria, Oregon?

A lovely new gourmet grocery store opened here last year. They specialize in fresh organic and regional specialties. They advertise that they have See's Candy and Peet's coffee which has not been easily available in Michigan before. I got some coupons for the grand opening and I was THERE when they opened. A woman in front of me started to weep when she saw the Peet's coffee. She was from Washington state and hadn't had any for awhile. I have become a fan too. I remembered Peet's from when we were in Seattle. Bill got me a cappuccino machine for Christmas and every morning while I peruse the blogs I have a large mug. Hooray for caffeine.

So did you for reals send them a letter? Because it seems like every single time you mention going for coffee you then tell me they didn't have it.
I think they're located too close to our beloved post office and that pathetic energy is rubbing off on them.

This may be the first Coffee-Love-Valentine post I have ever read... and now I am a bit jealous!
I must be missing something very special.

We love Peet's!!! :) I, like Laurie above, am ecstatic that it's offered locally now at an upscale market. Sigh.

Now I don't see how they could ignore a nice letter like that. It was gracious and complimentary with just a teeny bit of kiss up. Perfect.

I'll bet you'll have your French Roast beans before too long!

We used to have a Peets here in Austin! But, like a lot of stores on that street, it didn't last long to our great sadness :( Good to see they're doing better in other parts of the country!

I totally understand your love for great coffee. I, too, am a huge coffee fan. I have never heard of Peets, but it looks like the kind of place that I would love to hang out in. I love coffee shops!

I hope you send your sweet letter.

Happy Valentine's Day!

Amanda
