Things I love

I love yard art. Seriously.

Giant Crazy Yard Art.

Not like I'm putting a giant snail in my front yard.

As you can tell I'm really low on interesting content for you. No good sewing to share, I mean I've been working on some really good projects, just not sharable. Hopefully Elizabeth will share this darling quilt soon, I'm doing the ditch quilting on it.. or rather, should be in there doing the ditch quilting. But here I sit. With my coffee. And do you see what time it is. Good grief.

Ok my sweet pixies... you guys have a good weekend. Tell me all about what you have planned.

Oh I love that yard art too. The farmer has always wanted a life size cow statue in the yard. I'm all for getting the real thing but he says no.

I should be doing some sewing too, but here I sit. This weekend we've got a first communion party and it's the annual All-you-can-eat Pancake breakfast as the volunteer fire department. Always fun to watch "Twinnie" fry bacon.

I would put that moose in my yard!! Who doesn't need a giant moose?!?

I have 10 giant yard art pieces you can put in your yard. Unfortunately they poop a lot :-(

Yard art - Hilarious and wonderful all at the same time. One time I bought some sheep to put in our yard when we were on a trip. When I got home and put them in the yard they looked so awful. But my daughter is collecting gnombs for her yard someday.

I am going to finish up projects this weekend. Not much to show for myself either, too much going on at my job and home. I'm behind on dear jane blocks so I will fit that in.

Have a nice weekend friend.

I like yard art to a point. I just purchased a life size life like scotty for my front porch. It has to be tastefull to be in the front, and not to over the top for the back yard.

This weekend will be
a. trying to clean the rest of the house - wish me luck!
b. try to keep up with Maggie - yea right!
c. Saturday a day with the grandson's - yea!
d. Sunday make homemade baked beans and strawberry shortcake and go to Becky's for a Bar-B-Que - Maggie gets to play with Doogie!!
e. Sleep in Monday because I'm RETIRED!!!!!!! YEA!

Here's to a tall glass of ice tea and a shady spot for your Saturday afternoon!

Even painting it pink does not make that snail work for me.
You have a fab weekend yourself!

I really need to take a picture of the giant wooden gnome in our neighborhood. Big green gnome in the front yard. Like, six feet tall and four feet around. Big. Green. Gnome.

Love the pictures of your yard art, especially the elk/moose. I love Bunnicula. So cute and cuddly!!
I found some great new quilty type shoes this week in AZ and will be posting them this week. I think you may like them!

I agree with Thimbleanna- some giant cherries would be perfect in your yard! Hey, anything is better than that ginormous elk, or deer or whatever it is! Seriously funny though! I know the feeling of the 'low on interesting content'. Too many secrets right now!

I love funky and whimsical yard art. Though I'm secretly waiting for weeds and dog poop to come en vogue as art.

The moose it too cool and I love it's stockings. Made me chuckle thinking about the moose they made on Mythbusters - they would have been envious!
