Monday!

I hope the weekend was awesome! We didn't do much here, but we enjoyed some sunshine. The last of the front yard leaves were raked, and what wouldn't fit in the green can we bagged up for later. Backyard still needs quite a bit of work, but at least the neighbors can't see it. We actually had to turn on the sprinklers, it's been so dry here.

I worked on some asterisk blocks and put together the top for a pillow. I must be doing something wrong, mine never turn out to be square in the end. Maybe someone who's made this block will tell me the secret. I guess today I'll put that together, I have the pillow form and the buttons to cover.. nothing holding me back but myself. Of course I find myself to be a formidable opponent!

So tell me what you did! I can't wait to hear, then click over here to see something really sweet!

Ha, ha! I was going to start a new project but guess who found lots of unfinished projects. Could it be me? Our weather was so cold and foggy I stayed snuggled in and made soup. Love to see pictures of the completed pillow. Hope you have a productive day! Hugs!!

We are our own worst enemies. Of course, sometimes we're our own best friends too--when we're wallowing in fabric and tuning out the world. I think you'll find yourself completing that project soon enough. For now, enjoy your Monday!

I notice a bit of blurring in the background. :) Did ou try the aperture stuff?

I am mid creating my BFF's nursery for her second baby. I have the crib skirt and a sweet little pillow done. The changing pad cover will be completed today. Then I have curtains, a blankie, and a quilt left to make. Makes me tired just thinking about it, and I am SO over minky right now. lol

I am plugging way on my granddaughters quilt. All blocks down and now assembling the 225 blocks (not as bad as it sounds since half of them are solid not pieced blocks but still 225!) I am down to putting together the last few rows...hurrah!

The weekend was busy at our house. I go back to work on Tuesday so am scrambling to finish the last projects, which are the biggest it seems, on my list. Sigh. I did manage to finish a block for Saturday Sampler. That feels good. ~Kelly

I watched a video on Craftsy for doing the astericks block just yesterday. It was one of their free classes. Maybe that would help you see what you did. It looked tricky at the corners. Your cup looks like it is floating...magic!

My weekend will start tomorrow since work Saturday and Sundays. Hope there will be some sewing, this spring like weather has had me doing lots of gardening on my days off lately.

Basted a quilt earlier today for quilting tomorrow.. Now I'm cutting into my Pam Kitty Morning fat quarters to start my Dresden plate. It's going to take me forever, but I don't mind one little bit!

I love that comment about you being your formidable opponent. I never of thought of it that way, but I guess that can apply to me, the world's greatest procrastinator! Love your blog.
