Cool Breeze

I'm up at the pre-crack of dawn this morning but it's so blissfully cool I want to soak up every second of it. The little breaks with cooler weather make the hotter days so much more tolerable, at least to me. Its a wonderful chance to open all the windows letting the stale air out and fragrant flower scented air in.
Yesterday my boxes of goodies from my vacation in Minnesota arrived. Perfect timing for a morning on the swing.
That's my sweet little swan from .. where was that swan from? Maybe Hunt and Gather. I love old wooden yard stakes. And I love a chance to look through all my books. I can't wait to spend some time browsing the pages of Melissa's Small Stash Sewing.

My first rain lily of the season.

Meadow rue. I would love a meadow filled with sweet old fashioned flowers. Or maybe I could just stitch one up!

Seems perfect, right?

Ah, we had a cool evening and it was great...I too am trying not to complain but it is very difficult. Every year I say to myself, Why do I live in this pizza oven of a place! On our way to Sisters on Monday for a week by the river, so I don't have anything to complain about really! Have a good 4th of July, PKM!

I was up at dark:30 too but I have no swing and the humid heat was already booming. Your garden sounds so soothing. Here we have a wild Rain Lily that come up all over after..uh, it rains. Go figure. You got some great goodies in MN. Enjoy your day in the swing!

It's clear and cool out this morning! A wonderful respit from the heat.

Where do I find rain lilys around here. I love it!!! Also Meadow rue. I'm tired of the same old same old in my garden and I need to add something different.

The comment about my quilt meant the world to me coming from someone like you. Thank you so much!

Yes, it does! Your flowers are beautiful. I'm still wishing for a cold front, but it's not very likely. Enjoy it while you can.

Your flowers look so pretty Pam.
It has been nice here too. We even got to open up windows which we don't do to often in the Summer. It was nice while it lasted.
We're at Boo's in Tenn now and it's hot here!! ICK. Humid.
Have a Happy 4th!!
Hugs

How cool that your box with Minnesota treat arrived ... it was almost like being back here! You probably are glad you're not though ... 90+ today ... you can fry eggs on a sidewalk. Your flowers pix make me wish I was in sunny CA with you. Need to figure out a scheme to get there sometime other than January. Happy 4th!!
