Shop Hopping
We had a fun day shop hopping while we were in Las Vegas. We went to five shops and all of them were a lot of fun. First stop, Nancy's Quilt Shop. We got there when it opened. Lots of inventory, nice and bright and clean. Next up was the Christmas Goose. This store was great and Elizabeth and I went back the next day for another quick peek. I love a store with nooks and crannies and CG really has it! Plus it's a very friendly shop.
We went to The Fabric Boutique next. No pictures there, but it also was huge. They had tons of samples and I picked up a couple of pieces of Bubblegum Basics that I had hoped to see again. (don't you hate using up all of something great?)
Fiddlesticks was next up, and it was a darling shop. The people were friendly. We were tweeting a long the way and a lot of you recommended Fiddlesticks, and I can see why.
After lunch we headed over to Quiltique. I can see why we needed to eat and get rested up, it was the HOLY COW shop of this trip.
Thirties fabrics.. I haven't seen such a nice collection in ages. And the displays.. I love beautiful displays.
It was a great day all around. So fun to see so many great shops, all friendly and nice. There really is something for everyone in Las Vegas when it comes to quilting.

I never go to Vegas with my friends when I get the chance because I hate to gamble and they glue themselves to the stools. Now I will go, catch a cab and hit all of these spots! Thanks!
I usually go to Vegas once a year with my friends, but they aren't quilters. Now I have to figure out how to carve out some shop hopping time! Thanks for bringing us along on your visit.
Love Quiltique! Wish I could get there more often. There also used to be a cute little quilt shop in downtown Vegas ... I think it was called Teacup Quilts ... but, sadly, it closed.
Fun! Christmas Goose, Quiltique, and Fiddlesticks are my favorites!
All my favorites too! Yvette and Sue, the LV quilt shops actually have a tour set up...if you call one of them they can tell you about it. They pick you up at your hotel and round and round the fabric shops you go! Me? I'm lucky enough to have a good friend with a vacation house there so we do our own quilt retreat in LV a couple of times a year. Glad you had a good time Pam.
I've never really wanted to go to Las Vegas as I don't gamble, etc.. But now I'm ready for a road trip. We're in Denver and driving home. Maybe I can talk hubby into making a detour in Vegas "just to see what it's like!" wink, wink.....
Dang it! I wish I'd seen your post before I was in LV last summer -- I only made it to one shop and it was clearly not your favorite! All I can say for your favorites is that they need to beef up their plug in the quilt shop directory (I can't remember it's name)'cause they didn't sound very exciting LOL!
A trip is not a trip unless you've seen all the quilt shops in that area. I've been to Christmas Goose. Years ago I found some discontinued cherries fabric that I still have a tiny bit of. Great stuff.
Now THIS is what I call Spring Break!! I think the last shop wants me to move in - I think it'd be my holy cow shop too.
I'm definitely going to stop by a couple of these shops the next time I'm in Las Vegas. Thank you for sharing them with us.
Last time we went to Vegas we did everything my DH and 3 y.o. wanted to see. Next time, I'm dragging them to a couple of quilt shops! Thanks for sharing :)
Hey PKM!
Christmas Goose is my favorite! I know exactly why you went back a second time...:0)
BTW-I am following you now on twitter!
Haha....my word verification was "wishu", so I wishu a good day!
I used to go to the Christmas Goose while my husband did seminars in Vegas.. I hope I get back sometime to check out these other hot spots! Thanks for the post!
Hi, Pam! I live in Las Vegas. We're pretty lucky to have a good selection of quilt shops, each one so different from the other. The next time you're in Vegas go up to St. George, Utah and visit their shops. They have some good ones too.
Christmas Goose has always been my favorite and I love their BOM. It is so fun to visit all of the Vegas shops. Thanks you for sharing your quilt shop visits with us. You all looked like you were having a great time!
We go to Vegas at least once a month. I don't gamble too much, just sew in the room - rooms are great....but the maids are shocked. Thanks so much for the great list of quilt shops. Need to spend some time sewing outside of the room...can even take advantage of some of their classes....
