Learning my Lesson, again

This will sound familiar.. I wrote down all the directions and went in my sewing room with this project and didn't bother to really read the directions. Sounds a lot like my pot holder experience last week. Me with my square doors and straight binding.

In this instance me with my cruddy inside corners. I didn't read Linda's comment till it was too late. I just skimmed the instructions and didn't bother to clip the inside corners. Pam Pam Pam.

Still, it's cute, right?

Tell me if you made one!

Of course it is cute! I'm kind of like you - I'm a picture person and a skimmer. Its gotten me this far though, so I take the good with the bad. And who would complain about this basket? I've gotta make one.

It is very cute. I am a skimmer which means I usually end up making two--my way and the right way.

It look lovely and darling -- but what exactly is it? (Payback for 75 degrees and sunshine the other day -- HAHAHAHAHAHHAHAHA).

I think it is very pretty. I love your fabrics. I made one a while ago and it sits on the little table by my sewing spot and collects my threads. I wonder what I ever did without it.

It is cute--I would'nt worry about the inside corners-that's what rick rack is for! I plan on making several. How many Hershey's kisses will fit in one? Off to sit n sew...

Pam Pam Pam - that is so darn cute. I'm jealous of your stitches. You know the ones that you have to do by hand, basically the whole sides? How did you get such fine stitching? I don't even SEE the THREAD! I put 3 little thread holders together last night and ironed them but didn't do the hand stitching part yet. I'll post the horrid hand stitches. You'll feel better. I LOVE THE COLORS. Linda

Too cute!!! I too am a skimmer and I am constantly making things harder than they have to be. Someday I will read all the directions first, (maybe)
Love it!

I've made five of these so when the sewing group comes over, they have something to keep their threads in. My friend has made about 20 or so and the others have all made one too. A very poular tut.

It's very cute! And I wouldn't have noticed your corners if you hadn't pointed it out (besides, rounded corners are nice too!).

Is it a "sewing thing" that we just skim the directions? I know I have picked out a lot of things, and wished I had totally read the directions....it is CUTE! I love the poka-dots!
