Never satisfied
Nope, I just never can be satisfied with what I already own. Why do I bother to buy fabric and squirrel it away? I had that apple fabric sitting on my sewing table for too long. I was over it. Needed a bit more of something else, so I grabbed Elizabeth and we dashed to Quilter's Inn for a little piece of something.
Not what I intended but when I saw this Mary Engelbreit fabric I decided it would be great for Dee's pattern.

The shop was buzzing full of people and projects on the table, and old friends, lots of old friends. It was great. Back home I got to cutting. Stay tuned, I'm on a roll.

Glad you're happy.
I worked on my ME fabrics tonight. I love them!!!!
I love your fabrics!
I clicked on your finished star pattern and saw it enlarged and it was perfectly sewn, but then I expected no less from you. You do beautiful work and I love your photos!
Oooh, that will be soooo cute with the ME fabricS! Can't wait to see.
ahh contentment! I always feel that when I visit Quilter's Inn.
I know what you mean! I guess that is why my stash isn't getting any smaller. I just love the Quilters Inn. I have to limit my trips to the store.
Beautiful star, can't wait to see the rest of the quilt.
You're so speedy! I'll have to get cracking--I got some neato stuff at QI, too!
I am back in the sewing seat too.. but trying to do some serious stash busting..
We'll see how that works out after a day teaching skirt class at the local fabric shop... eeek.
Your squirreling is eyecandy for me!
You are just a ME girl at heart. Cute fabric. Can't wait to see the finished quilt.
I've been a silent reader lately, I just realized, but I SO know what you mean. I am never satisfied with the fabric I have- always needing more!
A little bit of Mary in your life is a good thing.
I love the ME fabrics! I am making a table runner this weekend from my ME stash. I can hardly wait to see your finished product!!
Shannon~
You do seem like quite the ME girl. I live in the town that ME built and it is funny that there isn't more of her around!!!! Especially since her store closed :(
And I'm thrilled you are on a roll, I am roll-less personally---- pass some on!
I love the fabric and the block. But best yet, it looks great on the white chenille!
Isn't that just the way it is - never satisfied? Every time I buy another set of fabric or something for the studio, I say, "That is it, now. Use what you have and get your projects done!" The next thing I know, I'm back at the cutting table asking for something new. Your start pattern is perfect! -- Michele
No kidding Pam. . . your block is PERFECT!
Wow.
xo, Bren
I love the new ME fabs!!! I have to go back and get me some for sure!!
B.
Squirrels! I love Squirrels. Oh, wait, you're talking about fabric. I love that too. I love the fabrics you got. I love the star. I love everything today, can you tell??!! :)
Squirreling is what we all do, isn't it?
What a great outing. I haven't bought any fabric in forever.
