Living a Lie
All this time, well the few short weeks since I've had my new and improved sewing space, I was thinking I had a nice, well organized room. Ha! Turns out I just hadn't bothered to move a bunch of stuff back in. Stuff that needed moving when Frankie came home this past weekend. It had been out of sight, out of mind I'm afraid.
And not just there.. I had stuff on the dining room table as well. Piles of fabric and the giant cutting mat.. what was I thinking? Now my room is a mess. It's not just the stuff on the floor, it's the piles of fabric on the counter too. And you see a bit of Alex's quilt hanging off the ironing board... it's off to the photographer this week. I'll try and share of peek of that too, I picked it up from Diana, our fabulous quilter, last week.
Need to clean and clear up the mess, I'm picking up a pile of cut fabrics from Elizabeth today. I'll try and snap a picture of the pile, it's so pretty. Or maybe she'll show off a photo of my kit. I love getting little kits of things to sew up from her, all precise and tidy.
Have a happy day my peoples!

YOU DON'T FOOL ME. It's a darling room and you know it.
Cracking up over Alex's quilt hanging there before it goes to the photographer... it's the "before" shot. Would love to see a side-by-side before & after! For 3 e-z payments of only $29.95... your quilt can look like this!
BTW... your office is neater then mine.
We all live a lie. my craft room was spotless for 2 weeks and has been a bomb zone for 6 months.
I know I deposit a lot of things in my sewing room but it drives me crazy when hubby drops some of his things in there because he has run out of room in his workshop. Trying to keep it a room of my own and not succeeding most weeks.
Thank goodness! Welcome back. I was beginning to doubt you.
I hear ya! My room is all nice and everything fits, until I remember that I have a ton of crap in the entry hall closet that someday needs to move into the studio - I just keep putting it off!
More, more, we want more!!! Even with that faux mess LOL!
Have no fear...this too shall be decluttered! Is that the saying, or does it have to do with Underdog??? Maybe, Underdog can help!! Can't wait to see Alex's quilt!
I know how you feel. I just spent days reorganizing my sewing room & I know what all I have to do is start a new project & there will be cr.p all over the place again.
Ha - love it when I clean up in the sewing room - always do it and then just roam around in there admiring the neatness and getting inspired for my next project(s)...always working on more than one....and the room is always neater if you spread (hide) stuff in other rooms...great ploy!
You dont have a mess!!! Are you kidding me? I'll show you a mess.
Pam, you're not alone... mine looks the same way

You could have come in and taken a picture of my sewing room today and gotten the same affect! It's either feast or famine-clean or a mess. Why is that?
well, that's not fair, the picture won't enlarge, I wanna see everything up close! ;-)
Miss Pam, Glad that you told us there was an ironing board in the picture.... kinda like the find hidden objects in Highlights magazine.....
Let me tell ya, we're all right there with ya!!!
Pam - I know the feeking of having a mess in the sewing room! Mt sewing room used to be the den. I don't have much storage so my fabric lives upstaurs in a spare room! Maybe someday it'll be all together in one space!
I love it. Only real women show their messes. Growing up there was the "spare" room. Entire countries could have lived off what was cast away in there to be hidden from view. My mother would scream out loud if anyone opened that door!
