The week between..

Good morning peeps! How did it go? It was a great Christmas here.. family, friends, food.. and now we're back on our regular routine. For a few days anyway. So what was the best part for you? For me it was a week long visit with Frankie. I think it was the longest she'd been home in probably a year! But there were plenty of wonderful things, like two sets of visitors from Oregon, my brother and sister-in-law and of course Monica!!!

I think this week I'll take a bit of a break here on the blog.. nothing exciting about vacuuming and putting stuff away. Lets meet back here after the New Year ok? xop

I take most of my decorations down after New Years so I'm looking forward to getting a bit of sewing this week done after I get caught up on the laundry!

Back to the regular routine...me thinks not! I'm still cooking and playing with the kids that are in town until after the 1st. I may NEVER get out of the kitchen! I forgot how to thread my sewing machine.

Well today the tree is coming down..sigh. I usually wait until after NY but I forgot to close the heat vent in the living room and it is way to dry to stay. Everything else is here until the weekend I think.

Glad to hear you had a great Christmas and a wonderful visit with Frankie! I wouldn't say this was the best part of my Christmas, but it was the most memorable. Our car broke down in my parents driveway. This caused us to take it to the shop to be fixed (still in NJ while we are not), we couldn't visit the in-laws in PA, and had to take my parents car back home. But we all still have smiles on our faces.

Your Christmas sounds wonderful....always nice to have the kids visit!......I will be taking the tree down and de-Christmassing the house over the next few days...then it is back to work.....and routine......Christmas came (and went) so fast this year...!

Christmas was wonderful and it did come and go so fast this year! To me the hardest part in getting back to the grind is getting back on the FOOD wagon. The treaty goodness are so hard to shove away..... yes? Here's to a creative, prolific, fabulous New Year indeed!

My best part was spending those precious few hours with you and Frankie... and that I made her call me "mom". And that we stuck our heads in that sign, and *argued* about who was going to be the french fries. And the people looking at us as we did mirror-gymnastics. And... and... and...

I disagree. Maybe not vacuuming, but I think putting stuff away IS very exciting.

Happy New Year! The best part of the holidays was spending time with both of my kids back home. They haven't been home together for Christmas for a long time. I just enjoyed watching them and remembering when they were small! Wishing a Happy New Year and much joy and success in 2010.
