Weathering the Weekend
What a weekend people! Saturday morning it was all about lightening and thunder! It was just crazy. I haven't seen OR HEARD storm like that in ages. Finally, some real weather.
It was a wonderful weekend for sewing, and believe me, I was sewing most of the weekend on Elizabeth's latest. Ohmygosh I love this cheery project even if there are a lot of leaves.
Last night it rained and rained. And we lost power for a couple of hours. I slept so well, Bret woke up sometime and turned off my bedside lamp. Holy cow, sleeping with a lamp on, that's good sleeping my friends.
Have a super day. It feels like fall. Well, ok, maybe it just looks a little like it. xo

In SoCal it was in the mid 70's...definitely fallish for us so I had to drag out the boxes and start decorating...not Halloween just yet but I changed out the quilts too, and that's the first real sign of a season change. Wish we would have gotten the rain though, we need it!
I'm lovin' the weather!!! My sister lives in Tracy and Saturday it just poured there also with lots of thunder and lightning. She was taking a shower when the worst was going on. Her shower is large and has no door. One of her dogs (one of six!) was so frightened it jumped in the shower with her and wouldn't leave. Just sat there by her feet getting drenched!
That rain was certainly something else!
Rain? Oh, please send Arizona some rain!
How many leaves did you get done during the rain? How many more leaves do you have to go? Don't you just love it when it rains and makes for good sewing weather. Cuz then a person doesn't feel like they ought to be outside doing things that people do outside. Do I ask too many questions? Hope you have a stitchy day!
A change in the weather always seems to make a change in my plans. I love your yellow rose. It is so beautiful!
I'm all for REAL weather, Pam! How great that you slept so well through it!
Cheers!
It's still hot as heck here in eastern Wa. Sure wish we could get some rain and relief, but it'll be in the 90's this week again. Of course when winter is here I'll be crying for the warm weather, oy vey. I love your blog and have been following you for quite a while now, but never commented. You're so upbeat and fun to read.
I love rain. Doesn't rain much here and I miss that. Thunder and lightening is fun. Even having the power go off once in a while is an adventure. Can't wait to see your new project.
It sounds like you had some Oregon last night!
