Mornin'

Hi lovely bloggy peeps, how are you? Another rainy day for us, but this should be the last for a few days, I didn't look too far down the weather forecast, just saw that Wednesday had no rain! I will enjoy a little break, but the rain has been so good for us! Here's a bit of a peek. Hopefully today I'll get more done and can show you the complete center of the quilt. I have no idea what I'll do for the borders. I love how its turning out, however wish I was a little more accurate on my little plates, those seams should line up better. I'm not always a good think ahead person and didn't consider that when stitching away. I love how it looks overall, but think I might try it again with bigger plates or smaller background pieces. Not sure yet. Lots of background here, perfect for a great quilter, sadly, that's not me.
Ok, have a lovely day my friends! xo

Love the hand work on 30's fabrics. Perfection isn't the point, enjoying the process is. How big are your daisies?

I never would have noticed if you hadn't mentioned it. It is so cute! That is what I saw. Really looking forward to seeing the rest.

Very cute PKM -- you can barely see the mis-matches from here!

It is really coming together super cute. I love them and it looks like your seams are pretty good. I'm not a precise sewer as some. But I keep telling myself it is something to work on. And what the heck. I have too much fun in the process to stew over it.

Sew cute! I wouldn't have noticed the seams not matching if you hadn't pointed it out and down the road you won't either. But, what if you could tack each blade down on the larger piece then piece them both together? Then all seams would match perfectly~just a thought.

Yeah, you really screwed it up. Where exactly is it that the seams don't match again?

You know, it's people like you (and Elizabeth, and Carrie, and Monica, and infinitum....) that make me question every quilt I put "out there". I am not a perfectionist. Honey, you are. You also can back it up with the skill. Don't worry about your phantom unmatched seams :)

Looks pretty darn cute/good to me !!! Very cheerful! (and I honestly don't even know what you're referring to with the unlined up seams ... so take heart that Mrs. Everyday Person who is a happy camper just to see cute fabrics in a cute quilt will LOVE this !!!!!)

We say that if you don't notice it while galloping by on a horse, then it's probably ok. Whatever you decide for borders will be stinkin' cute! You can have a look at our Blue Plate Special to see what we did with bigger blocks and the border if you want.

This unmatched seam thing was really bothering me, so I came back and enlarged the photo REAL BIG and inspected it with my reading glasses on, and not only do I now see the hideous unmatched seams, but I have discovered a

ONE-24TH INCH LONG LOOSE THREAD END IN THE LOWER RIGHT SECTOR, HANGING FROM THE YELLOW FABRIC!!!

I hope you will hang your head in shame. Oh, the horror.
