Oh. Too. FUNNY! Your post, not the Bret dec'd tree. Ok, that's funny too. But in a good way. Seeeeee... all the more you need a tree for your sewing room!

Is there a tree topper? I've never seen it. The Borg cube would make a great topper. Too bad it doesn't stay lit all the time. "Captain's log 2009" Merry Christmas.

Beam me up Scottie !!! I can relate .... although our tree isn't Star Trekkie .... it's dirt bikey and airplaney and footbally and soccery ..... with the occasional Lucy in a pink tu tu ornament ...... I'm sure Martha would be offended !!!!

Sigh, the things we do for the ones that we love.

I suggested that one of our teen boys string twinkle lights in our tv room, and suspend our set of Trekkie ornaments from that.

It's actually rather neat. It looks like the ships are in space when the room lights are dimmed to watch, what else, Star Trek.

Then again, I don't think they'll want them down after December...

It looks like we have a few of the same ornaments. My favorite is my Klingon Bird of Prey--the original version, which is so much cooler than the new one. I also have the Millenium Falcon and the Apollo Lunar Lander, complete with voice from Neil Armstrong. My nieces and nephews joke about my wierd ornaments, but I love them.

Scary, but I have those and more and Star Wars. Do you think there is a 12-step program? At least I can blame it on my two teenage sons : )
