What day is it?

Good morning people. How goes it? Just plugging away around here. Need to do some topstitching on this bag. I'm not a topstitching genius like Carrie, she really does a nice job. I used fusible fleece and dang it, it has that wrinkled up stuff going on. I need to try and steam it out, but so far, its not cooperating. Anyway, this is some Lakehouse and some Lecien fabric, both from last market. The strawberry is a light canvas weight fabric so it made a nice sturdy bag. What I really love about both Lakehouse and Lecien is that they go with so many other fabrics. They're great additions to my stash.
Ok, lots of non-sewing business to take care of today. Better get busy. Have a good day peeps.

I love fabric that coordinates with other things. I have enjoyed some red Benartex fabric that goes with just about every other fabric I own. Wish I had bought a whole bolt!

Love the little strawberry button and ruffle! :) Super cute... I have to say I've rarely used that fusible stuff without it wrinkling! ARGH!

What an adorable bag! I usually fuse the fleece to the lining (if the fleece has glue on one side only) That way if it wrinkles it won't show...

I love the bags you've been working on lately, Pam! Better to stay inside in the A/C, huh! Love, love, love this bag - can't see the wrinkles at all!
Cheers!

Super Happy Bag! I hate those wrinkles. I keep pressing and pressing thinking that they won't be there once I lift the iron. And, hey, they're gone. Except that then they come right back. Hate that! Yours will be fine though. You have the magic touch.

What a great bag! That orange-peely effect drives me nuts too. I have taken to using the fusible fleece on the lining instead of the outside because of it--which is not totally satisfactory.

The bag is darling. Sometimes that is why I fuse the inside or don't use fusible. I hate that. The fusible, when it works, makes a nice look. This bag is really sweet. So cute Pam.
